Deepam Society was established in 1999 in Harur, Dharmapuri district, Tamil Nadu, to address the stigma faced by people affected by leprosy and to build the self-sufficiency of women in the region. Since then, the organisation has grown to reach over 300 villages and more than 30,000 beneficiaries across the district.
